Imaginative Reggio-Inspired Classrooms
Our creatively designed areas for learning bring nature and exploration indoors. Fueling Brains Academy Strathmore provides students with a Reggio Emilia-inspired experiences, where the learning is lead by the children’s interests. In every corner, you will see beautifully build natural structures and awe-inspiring creations to stimulate young minds.
Learning Through Generations
Connected to the Sagewood Seniors Community, Fueling Brains Academy Strathmore has partnered with Age Care to provide our students with an enriching opportunity to learn from their elders. The children get to participate in fun, educational and curriculum-based activities with their neighbouring residents, a unique learning experience in itself!
Peaceful Outdoor Play Space
Our outdoor play space gives the children an opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and play outside daily. Although gated and securely locked, the outdoor area is spacious and open, with naturally-inspired playscapes overlooking nature and the building’s surroundings.ay area is specially designed for Fueling Brains Academy to stimulate and enhance the child’s development.
Healthy Meals, Healthy Brains
Our centre collaborates with Age Care’s kitchen staff to provide children with healthy, nutritious meals that are freshly prepared in house. All meals are approved by the Canada Food Guide, ensuring the best ingredients for the Aged Care residents and our growing students!

Ms. Taryn Hathaway
Centre Director
Taryn Hathaway began her Fueling Brains Academy journey at the McKnight campus in 2019. She has always loved working with young children, and when she started her Bachelor’s of Arts in Child Studies at Mount Royal University, she knew she had found her passion for early learning. Ms. Taryn quickly went from an assistant teacher to the Lead Junior Infant Teacher at FBA Bridgeland, where our youngest learners thrived under her care. Ms. Taryn spent five wonderful years at our Bridgeland campus, where her dedication to prenatal development and brain development of infants created an inspiring environment and curriculum to support the development of her adoring babies. Ms. Taryn has now stepped into the next stage of her journey with Fueling Brains Academy, and she has taken over the role of Centre Director for our Strathmore campus.
